Product Description
Sheet metal in multiple sizes to fit your needs.
Use this for flat panels, firewalls, wheel tubs, floor or door panels and many other uses in modeling.
Make a template out of cardstock or similar thickness material and use as a pattern to cut the sheet metal. This will save tons of time and material.
NOTE: Aluminum sheet metal will kink if not rounded over an object of the diameter you want.
The thinner gauge metal is great for firewalls, and thicker pieces are great around the cockpit.
The thicker the sheet, the more rigid it is.
Thin sheets can be cut with good scissors while thicker sheets require metal cutting shears.
This aluminum and tin coated sheet metal has a semi-dull shine resulting in a minor reflection.
Tin coated steel is heavier duty than aluminum and can be rounded with care.
Choose from:
- .008" - tin coated steel (4" x 5") good for firewalls or panels and where round bends are required
- .013" - tin coated steel (4" x 5") good for firewalls or panels and where round bends are required
- .016" - aluminum (4" x 5") good for minor round or sharp bends
- .032" - (4' x 6") good for flat surfaces and sharp bends. Difficult to cut
- .064" - (4" x 5") Flat surface or sharp bends. Very difficult to cut. Difficult to bend

Excellent to work with
For having never used aluminum on a build before, this's amazing to work with. Cuts with scissors and is easy to shape.
