Microscale's Micro-Weld is a styrene solvent cement that will provide the strongest bond for pieces that you want to stay together.

Building that chassis with styrene rod? You need need this.

It is very different from other types of cement and easier to use with a stronger bond.

CA glue or 'crazy glue' won't literally melt the styrene together like a 'weld'. Micro Weld will.

It will not craze clear plastic or tend to warp thin plastic parts as other types of cement can.

Since it will not “lift” most paints, it can be used to repair models without repainting.

Using a small artist's brush, apply a thin coat of Micro Weld to the edges of the parts to be joined. The coated edges become very tacky, like contact cement. Now join the parts by pressing them together. You will have a few seconds to remove or realign the parts for a perfect fit.

Clean the brush in water.

Avoid getting cement in unwanted areas, but, if you do, allow a couple of minutes for the cement to dry before touching or you may mar the finish
